Oxcarbazepine 300 mg tablet is formulated with the Oxcarbazepine drug, which is a very active chemical. Oxcarbazepine is rapidly converted into its active metabolite, 10-monohydroxy derivative, which blocks the voltage-sensitive sodium channels. It stabilises the overactive nerve receptors and controls and suppresses the abnormal electrical discharge.
